In this page we will discuss the main features of the geological framework of the LADOGA IMPACT-VOLCANIC STRUCTURE (LIVS), the geological, geomorphological, landscape, petrographic and other evidence of that, and the results of the biggest eruption in the Paleolithic, caused by a drop of the massive space object on the Northern Europe territory. It is shown (http://dna-genealogy...я-структура-r31) that the Upper Pleistocene ash of the south of the  Russian Plain, destroyed the Upper Paleolithic Kostenki-Borschevsky region belong to the eruption of the Ladoga volcano, which is active to this day. It is proved that the so-called "chocolate" clays of the Northern Caspian are diagenetically changed volcanic ash of Ladoga volcano, got in the area of flow of the Volga river system. It is established that the drop of a space object was 40 ybp in one of the maxima of the Valdai glaciation. The cosmic body fell to the ice sheet thickness of about 1500 meters, which led to the formation of peculiar "cryptoimpact" crater of the Ladoga astrobleme.

Structural and geological data indicate that the fall of the cosmic body has broken the integrity of the Baltic Shield. This led to the appearance of local volcanism in the area. More than 1,500 cubic kilometers of ash were emitted into the atmosphere by the eruption. This had resulted to the so-called paleolithic "nuclear winter", which destroyed a paleolithic sites of Kostenki-Borshchevo area.

This point of view offers an explanation of some anomalies in the deep part of Lake Ladoga - the so-called “Barantidas” (sounds of unknown origin, coming from the depths of Lake Ladoga) and gas emissions. They may be associated with the work of the Ladoga volcano in its fumaroles stage (subaqueous analog of Kamchatka’s “Valley of Geysers” or “Yellowstone park” in America).

Common feature that unites all of the samples, there is the presence in them of microscopic structures of shock. Their dimensions range from 0.05 or less to 0.3 or more millimeters. Their formation is accompanied by the formation of concentric -

Typically, the moissanite present in the centers of shock microstructures as a thin (less 0.02 millimeters) fraction, sometimes as separate grains from 0.1 to 0.16 millimeters -
